12th Street Baptist Church

12th Street Baptist Church of Gadsden, AL purchased a former K-Mart building to convert into their new facility. This uniquely fashioned church has provided space for a vibrant children’s ministry. Method-1 was hired to design and construct an old-style city scene of Gadsden’s main street buildings.

Children and parents are greeted at a check-in desk designed to look like an old-fashioned trolley. A 3D logo accents the top of the trolley and inside custom built drawers and counters provide an efficient work space.

Once inside the children’s area, kids are transported to a bright and colorful space made to mimic the Main Street in downtown Gadsden. Unique touches like printing a brick design on foamed PVC, gave the cityscape a realistic appearance. A movie theater sign puts the youth program name in the spotlight and credits the generous project donors. The stage in the center of the front wall now has the perfect backdrop for the worship team to perform. The back wall also received a city scene transformation, nicely accenting the desk for the visual and media controls.

The leadership team was excited about how the new children’s center turned out. And the children are thrilled with a uniquely inspired area to worship and fellowship.
