First Baptist Church of Trussville

Reception Area Design

First Baptist Church in Trussville, Alabama was established July 14, 1821 as one of the oldest churches in Alabama. Since then, they have grown to over 3,800 members and have been expanding their campus to make room for such growth. Collaborating with Turner Batson architects, Method-1 set to work to achieve three new reception areas for visitors and members to find information about church events and missions.

First, a main event center created a central hub for visitors and members alike to get information about upcoming events. Classified as a global mission church with missions to Thailand, the Jimmie Hale rescue mission, and church building projects (to name just a few), First Baptist Church in Trussville was seeking a high impact area where they could easily share information about Mission Opportunities.

A wall display was created as a resourceful area to gain literature about church missions and a great place for church workers to interact with visitors. An information center kiosk in the new expanded area of the church gave an additional area to display events and help visitors find their way around. First Baptist Church in Trussville was provided with renderings of the proposed design so that project leaders could establish a clear visual of what the completed projects would look like. Then, our team of carpenters constructed the separate areas and installed them to perfection.
