Children’s Playroom

First Baptist of Wetumpka contacted Method-1  to update a space that would be used as an indoor play area for preschool children.  The space had previously been used as a senior adult area so transforming it into a place where kids would feel welcomed, excited and inspired was a must.

Method-1’s design team took into consideration the needs and wants of the children (and teachers), the visual impact the space would have on the children, and the functionality of the space.  The finished design included activity walls, a faux rock climbing wall (small and safe enough for toddlers), canopies, and WallArmor™, which adorned the walls. WallArmor™ is a solid, durable wall covering that is easy to clean and can have any graphic printed directly onto it.  It  completely transforms the look of a space, which is easy to see in the children’s play area at FBC Wetumpka.  For the children’s area, Method-1’s designers came up with images that were inspired by child-like imaginations. These included an an outdoor park and small town square complete with a bakery, shop and hotel.  The entire space was truly transformed into a fun, vibrant, kid-friendly space that welcomes the children to come inside and have fun!
