Hibbett Sports, one of the fastest growing sporting goods stores in the country, selected Method-1 interiors to create the lobby as wells as a museum to house sports memorabilia at their new corporate headquarters. Hibbett Sports has over 850 stores in 29 states. The headquarters features Hibbett Executive Chairman Mickey Newsome’s vast sports memorabilia collection.

Visitors to the building are met with an oversized reception desk that begins the strong sport theme that runs throughout the facility. The back wall of the reception area is covered with Method-1’s exclusive WallArmor™ product to provide a durable and appealing focal point behind the desk that is flanked with showcases. Current CEO Jeff Rosenthal and the current growing staff enjoy the Newsome’s collection in a museum type setting in their new 155,000 square foot facility. Display cases line the halls and accentuate this collection built over the years of Newsome’s tenure. In addition to the memorabilia, floor to ceiling sports graphics and inspiring quotes line the corridors.

Cathy Pryor, Executive VP of Store Operations at Hibbett Sports explains, “Hibbett partnered with Method-1 Interiors to design, build and execute a Sports Collection Museum for our New Corporate Office in which we moved into in June of 2013. This was to be something very special not only to our team at Hibbett but to outside visitors coming to our new home as they enter the building. Most importantly it was to show case memorabilia that had been collected for over 40 years by our current CEO and previous President. He has been with Hibbett for over 45 years and was instrumental in building and leading Hibbett to where were are today with over 850 stores. His Passion is sports and loves collecting Sports Memorabilia, so what better way to pay tribute to him than by showcasing part of his collection. Method-1 Interiors met all of our expectations in both delivering a quality museum and doing so right on time. Their creativity in the design and professionalism throughout the entire process is to be commended. The team we worked with was excellent at listening to what we wanted as the end result and visually presenting in such a way that we could see the end result before it was ever built.
