In 2022, UAB decided they wanted to showcase the diversity within their School of Health Professionals. Method-1 had already  worked with the Student Relations department to build an international wall depicting country flags representing the student body. Method-1 created an art installation that symbolizes UAB’s commitment to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.

We collaboratively chose a tree to signify strength and growth. The tree is made beautiful by the diverse people and ideals of the SHP family at UAB.

The trunk of the tree represents a strong foundation of acceptance and respect. The branches of the tree follow their own unique path, just as the people of UAB do. On the branches are signs of growth, but there is room for more, signifying their continued efforts to understand and exemplify the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
